Arrival
When you arrive at our house, you’ll find it set back a little and above the street.
Drive up the driveway and you’ll be able to use the code we’ll supply to park your car in the two-car garage when you might find you can leave it for the duration of your stay if you use the available in-season free shuttle.
Climb the steps to the front door and come on it using the electronic front door code which we will also provide you before you arrive.
Entry and Great Room
As you enter the house, you’ll find a convenient bench and hooks to hang jackets and a tray to place shoes. (Please don’t track your shoes through the house.)
To start your tour, climb the stairs to the top where you will find yourself in the Great Room with its cozy fireplace and comfortable seating.
On this level you’ll also find the kitchen and a generous dining area that can be the focus of relaxing meals with your group.
Primary Suite
Go back downstairs to the first landing and turn right to access the primary suite level.
You’ll find a half-bath on your left before you enter the primary suite.
Inside the primary suite, you’ll find a separate toilet/vanity area and a generous shower.
The bedroom features a California king sized log bed, a desk perfect for doing remote work, a dresser and two closets you can use to store your belongs during your stay.
Other Bedrooms
Returning to the entryway, you can see the other bedrooms in the house. If you walk past the bench and stairs by the front door and head towards the back of the house, you’ll reach a hallway that connects the remainder of the entry-level rooms.
On your left is split bathroom with a sink and toilet in one room and a sink and shower in another room. This arrange is perfect for groups sharing these facilities.
At the end of the hallway, on your left is a bedroom with a queen-sized log bed.
The other bedroom at the end of this hallway is a “bunk room” with a twin-over-full bed and another twin-over-twin bunkbed. This room can accommodate up to five people in beds (assuming two in the full bed).
If you return to the front door, you can descend a half-flight of stairs to another bedroom. This one has a twin-over-twin bunk bed. It also has a TV and a foosball table.
Amenities
In addition to what’s already been described, our house has
- an indoor sauna,
- a 90×90 inch hot tub outside
- deck space for dining and lounging (more of a summer thing)
- full laundry facilities
- two guest passes for the Northstar Recreation Center which has a gym, three outdoor spas, a lap pool and a larger general pool (summer only). Each pass will admit an entire group, but there is a $10/per-person fee to use the rec center.
